Nothing beats weights on bars, dumbbells, or big levers for strength building, leanness, fat loss and even a cardio blast, whatever your goals.

Strength training – at any age - is what we should do more of. We can do it in ways that combine strength gains with leanness, fat loss, cardio benefits. It’s time to put aside pure cardio (treadmill, cross trainer etc) - it may give a little cardio gain, but its steady-state nature means your body adapts and just makes your saggy bits saggier. (Of course, if you love running, swimming, cycling, and that's your thing, great!  But strength training is filling lots of gaps even for folks like you!)

We provide free-weight and leverage strength tools. They permit the biggest and best compound exercises (pressing and lifting moves which use multiple muscle groups) using levers, plates or special dumbbells and plates, and sometimes, cable-connected resistance. (Cable-driven exercises work great for pulling movements through many angles - that's what our equipment uses them for. The trouble is, many home gyms depend on cable for just about all strength training. This is next to useless. You won’t get much done in the way of pressing or leg action with cable. It’s feeble. But home gyms that depend on cable are cheap to make)

With Powertec and Ironmaster designs, you have tools to achieve strength gains, muscle, fat loss, whichever your choice.  Increase the pace, do higher repetitions and build lean mass and blast away fat. The fastest way. Or go slower, add resistance (weight) and build strength and mass. And you can easily add balance and agility training... important as we age.

Many of our machines are self-spotting - go to the limit in safety. You don't need to go to a gym for a spotter. Get more done at home, more frequently, conveniently, and flexibly.  Have more real exercise variety, from equipment designed to get a lot done in a small space.
